Douglas Hall

This building was originally the top floor of the old Evergreen firehouse. Known as “Holy Smoke”, this section was purchased by Ann Douglas, widow of Canon Winfred Douglas. It was moved here in 1966 and was used as a men’s dormitory for the Evergreen Music Conference, which was for clergy and music education. It became the property of the Church of the Transfiguration in 1989, when the Music Conference moved across the street. The building is currently being used as a parish hall and rental to community groups.
